How To Get Your Blog Noticed…

Being a new blogger I am always looking for new ways to attract more readers to my blog. Creating and picking the subject I wanted to talk about was the easy part. Now I was left with the task of getting others to notice my blog. One thing I was certain of was that I wanted more traffic, but I also didn’t want to pay for it. As I searched for help on this I came across a great little blog with some great insight on accomplishing my task of getting more readers. The post in this blog was called 13 tips to get your blog noticed. I found nearly every tip to be quite helpful. I had already done some of the tips suggested, but I also found some that I had never even considered. The blog also gives you some great links to some free sites that will automatically submit your feed to dozens of other sites. Check it out and let us know what you think.

San Elijo Life is a great site about the wonderful little community of San Elijo. Located about 34 miles from San Diego, and nestled within the hills, San Elijo was awarded the Master Planned Community of the Year in 2002 by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The current population is over 6,500, which will increase as the remaining homes are built and occupied.

The vision of San Elijo Hills is to provide a self-contained “town” with a feeling of connectedness among its residents and the services and amenities in the local area. There is a new elementary school, with another school being built, a number of shops, services and a restaurant in the Town Center, a post office, a gas station, small “food mart,” and soon an Albertsons Grocery Store.

Success For Your Blog is a great site to check out for some great insight and tips on blogging. On one of the sites’ most recent posts the author gives some great topics for our blogs. Sometimes knowing what to make your blog about is the most difficult part. You want to make sure that you pick a topic that, first and foremost, interest you a great deal. Doing this will almost guarantee that you never run out of things to talk about on your blog. This site gives many great suggestions for possible topics, some of which I never even considered.

This site isn’t just for beginners either. If your a seasoned blogger and want to learn how to take your blog to the next level this site gives you some great insight. The 15 Minute Dating Blog is one of those blogs that hurts to read but at the same time can’t help but to continue onward. The blog is full of dating blunders that people have experiened through out their dating career. You’ll find yourself relating to many of these stories. Some will shock you and some will make you laugh so hard that you almost pee your pants. This site is also a great site to visit if you’re a little rusty at dating and want to get some quick pointers from real people. Guitar Hero 3 has got to be one of the most sought after games available. It was only recently that I played the original Guitar Hero and immediately was hooked. For those of you who are thinking about going out and getting Guitar Hero 3 I suggest you check out The Serious Nerdfirst. This blog gives a very in-depth and real world review of the latest installment of Guitar Hero. If you’re in the market for other games, no problem, this blog gives excellent reviews of other hot, up and coming titles.

Rentometer enables you to compare rental rates on one property or apartment against rents in the surrounding area. The site uses a “mashup” with Google Maps to show not only what other properties rent for, but their exact locations relative to the property you entered. All you do is enter the address of the property you are interested in and then the site does the rest.

The site is especially useful for homeowners weighing renting vs. selling their property. It gives you a great idea if it is better to rent or buy. Oh, and if you currently rent, the site can give you an idea whether your rental rate puts you at the top or bottom of the local scale. Love Thy Wii is a fantastic blog whose intentions are to teach you and I about the latest Gadgets, Mods and Games on Nintendo Wii. Unfortunately most people don’t know the full potential of the Wii and this is why I suggest you pay this blog a visit. This blogger shares many of his personal experiences with playing the Nintendo Wii and serves as beneficial advice if you want to be the best. Personally I love playing the Wii and am hoping to get an edge on Wii Sports so I’m no longer the worst player in my office!! A Blog For everything iPhone & iPod Touch

iPhone and iPod Touch Web Apps is a clean and nicely designed blog that shows all of the 3rd party applications available for the iPhone and iPod touch. Sure, you can go to the Apple website, but it feels like you have to make a million clicks just to get a simple screen shot and description of the application your looking to get. It is quite the contrary here, all you do is click on a category that interests you and Bam!!! All of the applications associated with that category are nicely displayed with a picture and description. Along with the picture and description is a link to the application website that shows you the steps you need to take in order to get that app properly running on your iPhone or iPod Touch. I have personally tried the FaceBook application for my iPhone, and I must say I am very impressed with the quality of the application. Check it out and let us know what apps impress you.

Mint.com: Personal Finance Made Simple

It’s not often that I am completely blown away by websites but Mint.com has done just that. For anyone who wishes that personal finances could be made easier without investing tons of time and effort then this is the site for you. It puts your finances on auto-pilot and gives you a very accurate representation of your current financial state. Not only is it accurate but it is also free! I have been using it for about a month and wonder how I ever did without it. This is a great little video that quickly takes you through some of Mint.com’s impressive features. Miniature Yorkshire Terrier is a must see blog for all Yorkie owners and Lovers! I have two myself so I can relate to many of the postings in this blog. I really like one of the more recent postings about the various types of Halloween costumes available exclusively for Yorkies.
